What we do, all in one place
Dirt work covers a lot of ground. Some contractors specialize in one or two pieces. We run all of it because that is what property in South Louisiana usually needs, and because the pieces connect to each other. A pad does not exist without a driveway. A driveway does not last without drainage. Drainage does not work without grading. Grading does not happen without clearing first, sometimes. Doing the whole job under one contractor means the connections are planned together instead of patched together.
Here are the twelve services we run, with a one-line read on what each covers. Each links to its own page where the full process, local soil considerations, what is and is not included, and typical timelines are spelled out.
Site preparation and pad construction
Site Prep & Grading covers building pad construction from raw lot to ready-for-the-slab-crew. Strip, fill, compact, finish grade. The backbone service for any new build in Acadiana.
Residential Site Development is the full package for a new home build: clearing, pad, driveway, drainage, lot grading. One scope, one crew, one schedule.
Commercial Site Development is the same idea sized up for shops, warehouses, small retail, and light commercial. We work to the soils engineer's spec and document compaction.
Water management and ponds
Pond Construction covers stock ponds, recreational ponds, landscape ponds, and irrigation reservoirs. We dig them for the local clay and water table so they hold.
Drainage & Water Management handles the single most common property problem in this region. Yard regrading, French drains, swales, culverts, catch basins. Water leaves your property the way it should.
Bulkheads & Retaining Walls for pond banks, canal frontage, slope retention, and yard terracing. Built with the drainage that keeps the wall standing.
Surfaces and structures
Concrete Slabs & Flatwork for house slabs, shop slabs, equipment pads, driveways, and sidewalks. Poured on pads we built ourselves so we know what is under it.
Driveways & Pad Construction for long country drives, subdivision drives, equipment pads, RV pads, and parking aprons. Limestone, crushed concrete, or asphalt-ready base built to drain.
Material and clearing
Limestone Delivery & Spreading by the truckload. Number 610 driveway mix, number 57 clean stone, crushed concrete, base rock. Dropped or spread and compacted.
Material Delivery for fill dirt, select fill, topsoil, sand, clay, and aggregate. By the tandem dump truck load, anywhere in our service area.
Land Clearing & Grading for wooded lots, overgrown pastures, fence-line reclamation, and stump removal. Get the land back to usable ground.
Brush Hogging for the less heavy work: overgrown lots, pasture cleanup, fence-line knockback, access road clearing. Tractor and brush cutter sized for the job.
How the services fit together
Most jobs are not one service. A new home build is site prep plus driveway plus drainage plus sometimes pond work. A property cleanup is clearing plus brush hogging plus grading plus drainage. A commercial site is pad plus parking plus stormwater plus driveway. We bundle the related services into one scope and one quote so the property owner is not juggling three contractors.
The bundling also means the connections get planned together. The pad sits at the right height relative to the driveway. The driveway crowns toward the ditch that the drainage system runs into. The pond spoil goes where it does the property the most good. Every piece is decided in the context of every other piece, not in isolation by separate crews who never met.
How we quote, briefly
Every quote is free and starts with Scotty walking the property. We look at what you want, look at the ground, talk through the realistic options, and give you a real number. The number breaks out what is and is not included so there are no surprises. No deposit to talk, no charge for the walk-through, no pressure to sign anything that day.
For larger jobs that involve engineering, soils reports, or commercial specs, we work with whoever you have on the project to make sure our scope fits the rest of the team's expectations. For straight residential work, the quote is usually one conversation.
Where we work
Our normal service radius is about a hundred miles in every direction from Carencro, Louisiana. That covers most of Acadiana, Baton Rouge to the east, Lake Charles and into East Texas to the west, and the smaller towns in between. The full service area map and a list of cities shows everywhere we work regularly. If your address is not on the list, call and ask. If it is in Louisiana or East Texas, there is a good chance we can get there.
Ready to start a conversation
The right way to find out if we are the right contractor for your job is to call. Tell us the address, tell us what you want done, and we will tell you straight whether we are a fit and what the next step looks like. (337) 288-3795 reaches the office. The contact form works the same. Either way, Scotty calls back.
Call us with what is going on and we will tell you what your property actually needs. Most jobs are a combination, and the conversation costs nothing.
